United States Marine Field McConnell has linked former UK Minister of Defence Nicholas Soames’s development of a 30-Day Mycroft Flash Override capability for the traveling guests of the MI-3 Innholders Livery Company to Serco director Maureen Baginski’s alleged hack of a U.S. Air Force “Cope Tiger” war game to capture  a ZigBee-enabled Boeing Uninterruptible Autopilot (BUAP) on MH Flight 370 and fly a Freescale Semiconductors stealth-technology team to Diego Garcia on March 8, 2014.

[Spoliation inference: The United States and United Kingdom has created a “temporary” flash override capability which allows insiders traveling through hotels controlled by the MI-3 Innolders Livery Company  to authorize man-in-the-middle attacks on government leaders and crime-scene investigators as they participate in spurious war games or exercises] Temporary DSN service upgrading to support the NCA, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, CINCs, Service Chiefs, or other equivalent personnel during travel is authorized for all precedence levels for up to 30 days. Temporary upgrading is also authorized for emergencies and exercises. Requests should follow the procedures in Enclosure C and must be coordinated with DISA and approved by the CINC or the Service Chief concerned. Approvals of flash override and flash access must be provided to DISA and the Joint Staff. The CINC or Service Chief must identify source of funding to cover additional costs prior to approval.”

MH370 Tragedy: A week to go before black box signal vanishes

KUALA LUMPUR: It’s been 24 days since Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 disappeared and the authorities now have about a week to find the phsyical evidence, especially the 'black box' as signals from the recorder will fade out soon.

The signals emitted from the black box is powered by batteries that will die out after 30 days, and it will be difficult for the search operation to trace it without a signal, especially in a vast area like the Indian Ocean.

The multi-national search operation has identified an area of 254,000 square kilometres in the Indian Ocean, about 1,850km west of Perth, Australia, as where the plane likely went down.  

Acting Transport Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein today said ten including one civilian aircraft and 10 ships had travelled to the search area to find debris that may be related to the plane.  

If they can locate the debris and confirm they were from the plane, it may help the search team to narrow the search area to find the black box.

However, with arrival of the vessel Ocean Shield, which is fitted with a towed pinger locator and a Bluefin 21 autonomous underwater vehicle on Thursday in the search area, it is hoped the ship can detect the black box.

Hishammuddin said in terms of sightings of potential objects, on Saturday, five objects were retrieved by the Australian navy's  warship 0HMAS Success and Haixun, a ship from China.

"However, it was found that none of these objects were related to MH370," he told a media conference on the latest developments on the search mission for MH370 here today.

On March 24, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak had announced that (the flight path of) Flight MH370 ended in a remote region of the southern Indian Ocean based on detailed analyses of satellite data.

Najib also will be visiting Perth, Australia this Wednesday to see first hand the search operation for the missing aircraft in the Indian Ocean.

"Our Prime Minister has decided to travel to Perth on Wednesday for a working visit to Pearce Air force base (in Perth), to see the operation first hand and also to thank the personnel involved in the multinational search effort, including the Malaysian personnel," Hishammuddin said.

Meanwhile, Malaysia Airlines (MAS) code share partner China Southern Airlines has agreed to cooperate with MAS in giving aid to families of passengers of the ill-fated flight , said MAS chief executive officer Ahmad Jauhari Yahya.

He said MAS, however, shouldered a heavier burden because the missing aircraft belonged to the airline.

Flight MH370 was also marketed as Flight CZ748 by China Southern Airlines and there were passengers (on board) holding the Chinese airline company's tickets.

Flight MH370, carrying 227 passengers including 152 China nationals and 12 crew, left the KL International Airport at 12.41 am on March 8 and disappeared from radar screens about an hour later while over the South China Sea. It was to have landed in Beijing at 6.30 am on the same day.

A multinational search was mounted for the aircraft, first in the South China Sea and then, after it was learned that the plane had veered off course, along two corridors - the northern corridor stretching from the border of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan to northern Thailand and the southern corridor, from Indonesia to the southern Indian Ocean.

Following an unprecedented type of analysis of satellite data, United Kingdom satellite telecommunications company Inmarsat and the UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) concluded that Flight MH370 flew along the southern corridor and that its last position was in the middle of the Indian Ocean, west of Perth, Australia.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak then announced on March 24, seventeen days after the disappearance of Boeing 777-200 aircraft, that Flight MH370 "ended in the southern Indian Ocean". The search continues there. - BERNAMA

Missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 now classified as a criminal investigation

THE investigation into the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 has been classified as a criminal investigation, according to reports in the Wall Street Journalciting Malaysia’s police chief.

As the search for the missing Boeing 777-200ER continues into its 25th day, a series of updates linked to The Wall Street Journal’s Twitter feed quoted police chief Inspector General Khalid Abu Bakar as saying police had taken more than 170 statements for the ongoing probe, and would interview more people.

“Investigations may go on and on and on. We have to clear every little thing,’’ Abu Bakar told reporters in Kuala Lumpur.

“At the end of the investigations, we may not even know the real cause. We may not even know the reason for this incident.”

While this article is published on April 1st, 2014 I hope that all concerned would not take this analysis as an April Fool’s Joke but a serious attempt to explore what are the likely scenarios beyond that which have been discussed over the last few weeks.

I have thought long and hard since the publication of my previous two articles posted to my website on the 28th and 29th March, 2014 whether to write this article. I had sleepless nights but realized that this article must be written because the issues which I am addressing deserve public attention and a response from the relevant countries whose technologies are so far superior to Malaysia’s that only they can provide adequate answers.

I leave it to you to judge whether this article is a “conspiracy theory” (an oxymoron because any unlawful act committed by two or more persons or entities constitute a conspiracy - this is Criminal Law 101) or a legitimate demand for intelligent answers, for the public is not stupid.

What puzzled me most since the “disappearance” of MH 370 is the deafening silence of the Military establishments of the United States, Thailand, Singapore (and to a lesser extent those countries who are mere observers) who prior and subsequent to the “disappearance” of MH 370 were involved up to their eyeballs in the annual military exercises “Cobra Gold” and “Cope Tiger” led by the United States beginning from 11th February and ending 21st March, 2014.

The Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) is a dedicated telephone network which provides global secure communication services for the command and controlstructure of the United States Armed Forces. The network is maintained by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and is secured for communications up to the level of Top Secret SCI.  

The DRSN provides multilevel secure voice and voice-conferencing capabilities to the National Command Authority (NCA, being the President and the Secretary of Defense of the United States), the Joint Chiefs of Staff, theNational Military Command Center (NMCC), Combatant Commanders and their command centers, warfighters, other DoD agencies, government departments, and NATO allies.

Department of Defense and federal government agencies can get access to the network with approval of the Joint Staff.[2] Upon approval by the Joint Staff, DISA will work with the customer and the appropriate military department to arrange the service.[3]

The Defense Red Switch Network consists of four major subsystems: the Switching Subsystem, the Transmission Subsystem, the Timing and Synchronization Subsystem, and the Network Management Subsystem. The Switching Subsystem uses both RED and BLACK switches to provide an integrated RED/BLACK service. End users are provided with a single telephone instrument with which they can access both secure and nonsecure networks.

The DRSN carried around 15,000 calls per day prior to September 11, 2001. DRSN usage subsequently peaked at 45,000 calls per day and by mid-2003 was running at around 25,000 calls per day. In that period the Defense Red Switch Network was expanded to support 18 additional US Federal Homeland Defense initiatives.[4]  

Nowadays, this network is also called the Multilevel Secure Voice service. It's the core of the Global Secure Voice System (GSVS) during peacetime, crisis and time of conventional war, by hosting national-level conferencing and connectivity requirements and providing interoperability with both tactical and strategic communication networks.[5]”

“The National Communications System (NCS) Voice Precedence System, was established by NCS Memorandum 1-70, dated 14 Feb. 1970, is directed for use by all authorized users of voice communications facilities. Since the effectiveness of the system depends on the cooperation of the people authorized to use it, users must: (1) be familiar with the purposes of each precedence category and the type of call that is assigned the precedence, and (2) exercise care not to request or use a precedence higher than required.

CJCSI 6215.01C, Policy for DoD Voice Networks, defines how Precedence Levels are assigned and controlled.

The NCS Voice Precedence System does not make provisions for conducting test and exercise calls. Those activities or individuals authorized or required to conduct such tests or exercise calls will use a precedence consistent with the nature of the test or exercise. When the originator of the test or exercise call has contacted the called party, the call will be identified immediately as a flash, immediate, or priority precedence test or exercise.

The following examples should aid users in determining what precedence to use when placing a call. These examples are according to the NCS Voice Precedence System, but are not to be used exclusively for determination of the precedence of a call. This should be at the discretion of the originator of the call.  

FLASH OVERRIDE

Flash override is considered a capability, not a level of precedence. Exercising this capability preempts calls of all other levels or precedence. The flash override capability is available to the following users:


The President of the United States of America

The Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the JCS
Commanders of the Unified Commands

FLASH

Flash calls preempt immediate, priority, and routine calls. Listed below are examples of flash calls:
Calls pertaining to C2 of military forces essential to defense and retaliation Critical intelligence essential to national survival Conduct of diplomatic negotiations critical to ceasing or limiting hostilities Dissemination of critical civil alert information essential to national survival Continuity of federal government functions essential to national survival
Fulfillment of critical United States internal security functions essential to national survival
Catastrophic events of national or international significance

IMMEDIATE

Immediate calls preempt priority and routine calls and are reserved for communications pertaining to situations that gravely affect the security of national and Allied forces. Listed below are some examples of immediate calls:

Reconstitution of forces in a post-attack period
Intelligence essential to national security
Conduct of diplomatic negotiations to reduce or limit threat of war
Implementation of federal government actions essential to national survival
Situations that gravely affect the security of the United States
Civil defense actions concerning the direction of the population and their survival
Disaster or events serious enough to have an immediate and detrimental effect on the welfare of the population
Vital information having an immediate effect on aircraft, spacecraft, or missile operations
Distress assistance

PRIORITY

Priority calls preempt routine calls and are reserved for communications requiring expeditious action by called parties furnishing essential information for conducting government operations.

ROUTINE

The routine precedence applies to official government communications that require rapid transmission by telephonic means, but do not require preferential handling. A routine call does not preempt any other call.  

ASSIGNMENT OF PRECEDENCE LEVEL

Access to a level of precedence must be determined only by mission requirements and must not be used as a means of improving a GOS above that provided to ROUTINE users. Appropriate restoration priority or TSP should be considered with all special C2 precedence requirements. Any change in the assignment of precedence levels must be reviewed by DISA to ascertain the network impact and to size the DSN architecture to accommodate the change. All precedence requirements must be validated by the appropriate CINC, Service Chief, or director of Defense agency, who also approves requirements for immediate and priority service. Requests for precedence are not restricted by MCA. The Joint Staff is the approval authority for flash and flash override calling capabilities. With the exception of new missions, requests for flash and flash override should normally be accompanied by a tradeoff of equal precedence.  

CONTROL OF PRECEDENCE

The CINCs, Service Chiefs and directors of Defense agencies must establish and maintain policy to control use of precedence access through operator-assisted calls. EO switch users/subscribers are authorized precedence and long-distance DSN service only when a means is provided to positively control the number of simultaneous outgoing calls for each precedence level entering the DSN e.g., instrument classmarks. DISA provides criteria for the EO switch processing of precedence calls to and from DSN to achieve the stated GOS and will determine the appropriate trunk sizing and switch configuration based on CINC, Service, or agency requirements and traffic-engineering analysis. Traffic-engineering and trunk-sizing requirements are based on business hours between DSN locations.

CONTROL OF CALLING AREAS FOR PRECEDENCE LEVELS

Local commanders are responsible for both the control and approval of the calling area capabilities available to their DSN users.

CONTROL OF PRECEDENCE ACCESS

When NM capabilities, per paragraph 9, are available, classmarking of the user lines is employed to technically activate, manage, and control calling capabilities. When NM capabilities are not available, PATs or classmarking of access lines are employed to control access to the DSN.

TEMPORARY PRECEDENCE UPGRADES

Temporary DSN service upgrading to support the NCA, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, CINCs, Service Chiefs, or other equivalent personnel during travel is authorized for all precedence levels for up to 30 days. Temporary upgrading is also authorized for emergencies and exercises. Requests should follow the procedures in Enclosure C and must be coordinated with DISA and approved by the CINC or the Service Chief concerned. ADMINISTRATION

The CINCs, Service Chiefs, and directors of Defense agencies must develop implementing policies and procedures for the provisions of this policy. The policies and procedures must be coordinated with and provided to DISA to ensure that they do not adversely affect network operation.”

The "Market" Racket
Yesterday, I was reviewing all the documentation I have on energy, public utilities, conservation, etc. as part of project to organize all of them into a coherent portfolio. Naturally when I started this project, I began with Ken Lay and the story of Enron but the story actually begins decades before the Enron meltdown of 2001.

In 1972, Ken Lay was the Deputy Undersecretary of Energy working for the Interior Department Secretary Rogers Morton. Some reading this may remember the "oil crisis" in 1973. The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) countries raised the price of oil by 70% and placed an embargo on exports of oil to the United States and other nations allied with Israel. The alleged reason for OPEC's price extortion was because Nixon took us off the gold standard but that doesn't really square with the Israel connection. Regardless, the "oil crisis" event was used as the raison d'être (peak oil so they claimed) for what has become an organized crime wave in the United States predicated upon the principles and concepts espoused in United Nations Agenda 21.

Following the coup d'etat of the Nixon Administration and the treason at Helsinki executed by the appointed replacement, Gerald Ford, the people of the United States elected a peanut farmer from Georgia. Carter was a disaster walking. One has to wonder if his administration wasn't really a national "bread and circuses" event in it's own right. At any rate, in 1978, the Congress passed and Jimmy Carter signed legislation that was really a sweeping overhaul of the nation's laws concerning energy. The National Energy Act of 1978 included the following:

Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act (PURPA)
Energy Tax Act
National Energy Conservation Policy Act (NECPA)
Power Plant and Industrial Fuel Use Act
National Gas Policy ActAnother piece of legislation that Carter signed was a bill that consolidated and reorganized the regulatory authorities over energy and energy resources into a new Department of Energy. With respect for the reason behind the National Energy Act and the creation of the Department of Energy, the main objective of the department was to drive up prices to drive down usage. Pure and Simple. In the natural gas business, the strategy was to create a mess with regulation and then to de-regulate the market. That's where Ken Lay came in as COO of Houston Gas Company. "In 1985, HNG merged with InterNorth to form Enron, and Kenneth L. Lay became chairman and CEO of the combined company the next year."

In previous work, 'Where the Bodies are Buried', I documented the strategy that Ken Lay used to build Enron that was the result of the regulatory morass that in hindsight was an attack on both the producers and distributors of natural gas. What Ken Lay did to "solve it", was to propose a middle man strategy which he called a Gas Bank.

If you strip away the labels and look at the organization from a process point of view, what you have is the essence of a computer system. It doesn't matter what the function of the system is; nor does it matter the physical implementation of it. Computer systems are written to manage the process and to control the entities by defining how the entities behave - whether you call them rules, standards, roles, whatever. It doesn't matter. You can think of the system as the Master Marionette. In business terms, within a corporation, it's merely controlling the process and assets of the corporation. In political terms when the government or a quasi-government entity does it - and the entities are private sector, it is collectivization.

In a country that is being run by organized crime and that relies on propaganda for deception it's called "The Market".

So why did I go through this little exercise? It's because this morning as I was refreshing my memory concerning Enron, Ken Lay and Jeff Skilling, I thought of Gazprom wondered about them because I've seen them mentioned in the news but I was always busy pursuing other lines of inquiry. I hit the jackpot. The scandal with Gazprom parallels the Enron scandal even to the extent that one of the Big Five accounting firms was involved - auditing and advising.

This is from an article in Bloomberg from 2002 titled, Gazprom: Russia's Enron?:
Right now it's PwC that's in the hot seat. The focus is the review the auditor did for the Gazprom board last year on ties between Gazprom and Itera, a Moscow-based gas producer. Suspecting that Gazprom management was using Itera as a front company for the improper transfer of assets, a shareholder faction led by Browder sought to engage Big Five auditor Deloitte & Touche to investigate Gazprom-Itera transactions. Gazprom management was dead set against bringing in Deloitte & Touche, says Fyodorov. According to PwC sources, even some senior partners in the firm's Moscow office argued that any self-review would lack credibility. But PwC ultimately decided to have a probe done by an in-house team headed by a London partner. PwC delivered the report to Gazprom's board last July. Copies of the report are now providing fresh ammunition to PwC's critics who want to fire the firm from the Gazprom account.There seems to be plenty of gunpowder. Consider this convoluted example from the report. PwC's review team examined a deal in which the province of Yamal-Nenetsk accepted gas from Gazprom as payment in kind for $200 million in taxes. The regional authorities sold the gas for a very low price to Itera, which then resold the energy to customers outside Russia at what PwC in its report called a "significant profit."Something doesn't sound right here. Why couldn't Gazprom itself have sold the gas to foreign customers for a rich price, paid off its regional tax bill, and pocketed the profit for its shareholders? The report concludes that in-kind payment of gas saved Gazprom from borrowing cash at high interest rates to pay taxes. But according to a Hermitage analysis based on data from Russia's Audit Chamber, a government watchdog, the company lost out on a $5.5 billion pretax profit by handing over the gas to Itera via the Yamal-Nenetsk tax transaction.Then there's the PwC review team's analysis of asset transfers from Gazprom to Itera. PwC found that Gazprom sold Itera a 32% stake in a gas-producing subsidiary, Purgas, for just $1,200. Itera USA is an American branch of the Itera Group of companies. Originally a commodities trading company, Itera USA was created in the wake of the collapse of the Soviet Union, when the previous economic ties between the former Soviet Republics were broken and the new countries, with a total population of over 250 million people, faced enormous difficulties providing the basic human needs such as food and medicine. Multi-national corporations did not rush to do business with these countries because of their insolvency and the inherent political risks. In this dire situation, Itera was founded in 1992, and created a unique network of barter transactions not only with the governments of the new nations, but also with plants, factories and other commercial entities.InnovationIn 1994 the office of Itera USA, in conjunction with the Itera Group of Companies provided large shipments of produce to Turkmenistan. Based on the initial success in the region, Itera reached an agreement with Turkmenistan forming the first private gas trading company in the Former Soviet Republics. This new entity traded Turkmenistan gas to Ukraine in exchange for barter, which was handled by Itera Group, with headquarters in Moscow.The mention of one of the "The Stans" - in this case Turkmenistan, made me wonder if the story of James Giffen was connected to this Gazprom-Itera story of accounting fraud, pipelines and tax evasion. I found the story of James Giffen very intriguing but at the time (2005), I didn't have anything that connected it to except a general idea of public corruption involving Russians, Mikhail Gorbachev, San Francisco and the Presidio. You might be asking by now, how is this related to what I wrote at the beginning of this. Here it is in an article by Marlena Telvick posted on Asianet (retrieved from the archive):
The four-year investigation unearthed a labyrinth of complex financial transactions to accounts in Switzerland and the British Virgin Islands allegedly made by U.S. oil companies Mobil, (now ExxonMobil), Texaco (now ChevronTexaco), Phillips Petroleum (now ConocoPhillips)and Amoco, (now BP) in connection with various fees for the purchase of oil and gas rights in the 1990s. ...The indictment revealed that Swiss authorities began investigating accounts "nominally owned by offshore companies but beneficially owned, directly or indirectly, by Balgimbaev and Nazarbaev … into which Mr. Giffen had made tens of millions of dollars in unlawfulpayments" in 1999....The news of another delay in the court proceedings follows a series of recent legal moves by Giffen attorney William Schwartz. On 25 March, Schwartz asked the court to turn over "all documents and records, including classified documents and records related to Mr. Giffen or Mercator Corporation," which he hopes will illustrate that "close and repeated contact with officials’’ at the CIA, FBI and State Department approved of Giffen’s actions.Records for nearly every major player from this time period whom Giffen could have come into contact with were requested, including CIA Director Robert Gates, Brent Scowcroft of the National Security Council, Secretaries of State James Baker and Lawrence Eagleburger, and former U.S. ambassadors to Kazakhstan William Courtney and Elizabeth Jones, now assistant secretary at the State Department. THE ADVICE PEDDLERSIn December 1984, as a member of the American Trade Consortium, Giffen became one of the first Americans to be received in Moscow by Mikhail Gorbachev. "They didn’t know how to do business Western-style, but they were willing to pay intermediaries and legal and accounting firms coming in from the U.S. to show them how," he says. What a difference a few years and high level connections make:

Giffen used his expertise to advise Kazakhstan on foreign investments and provided advice on economic development, helping the country develop its vast natural resources, Pauley said."In doing so, he advanced the strategic interests of the United States and American businesses in Central Asia," Pauley said. "Throughout this time, he continued to act as a conduit for communications on issues vital to America's national interest in the region."So Giffen - and corrupt accountants, in this case, PriceWaterhouse were Reagan's secret weapon against the Soviet Union. Officially sanctioned corruption through accounting trickery and bribery they managed to corrupt public officials, divert tax revenues and public money to dummy companies and through bloated contracting cycle money back into the hands of the relatives of the corrupt officials. If that doesn't sound familiar, it should because that's exactly what Enron was doing - except that I don't know if Enron was putting money into the hands of relatives of public officials but I'd be willing to bet...

Jumping ahead a little bit, the image of President Nursultan Nazarbaev of Kazakhstan has been sheep-dipped, his corruption wiped from the pages of history and now he's a New World Order success story:

In 2001, Seymour Hersh wrote an article titled, The Price of Oil; What was Mobil up to in Kazakhstan and Russia?
In the fall of 1997, an international businessman named Farhat Tabbah filed suit in London against three American businessmen, the oil minister of Kazakhstan, and a subsidiary of the Mobil Corporation. He charged that they had cheated him out of millions of dollars in commissions on what was to have been a ten-year swap of oil between Kazakhstan and Iran. Mobil and the other defendant denied the allegations and successfully moved to suppress all Tabbah's affidavits and supporting documentation. A few months after Tabbah filed his lawsuit, he flew to the United States and gave his account of the swap plan to federal authorities. He also turned over several file drawers of documents, including internal Mobil faxes and memos, to agents of the United States Customs Service....Mobil investigators also uncovered an array of unseemly business dealings that took place in Russia and Kazakhstan in the mid-nineties. More than a billion dollars of Mobil's cash was paid to Russian companies in unorthodox transactions; questionable accounting practices were followed; and multi million-dollar transfers were made that, as a Patton Boggs report put it in one case, "did not have any apparent valid business purpose."The oil industry has long been swapping as a way to reduce the cost of transporting crude oil, by pipeline or other means, to refineries. The arrangement also provides a way to get oil from remote oil fields and isolated nations, such as Kazakhstan, to market. In a swap, the title to oil in one location is transferred to oil of an equivalent value that may be hundreds, or even thousands, of miles away. Because of the potential for abuse in such complicated transactions, major oil companies carefully monitor and record their swaps."It's extremely rare for a legitimate company to play pricing games in a transfer," said Thomas Stauffer, a retired economics professor at Harvard and Georgetown who specializes in oil and taxation issues. "But in the Third World --and especially in places like Kazakhstan -- its an invitation to corruption. You can hide a lot of sins in an oil swap. Title to oil in any tanker might change a dozen times before it gets to port." Such sins include oil laundering -- concealing an illegal source of oil -- and sanctions busting. "Oil is oil," Stauffer said. It can be sold in any given market at any time." Men like Marc Rich, the fugitive financier who was pardoned by President Clinton in January, have earned hundreds of millions of dollars over the years by brokering oil deals with pariah nations such as Iran and the former regime in South Africa.  In Mobil's case, the company's in house investigators came to believe that the proposed swap between Kazakhstan and Iran was but one element in a complex of seemingly high-risk business deals that were devised by Bryan Williams. The investigation also led to the two other Americans named in the Tabbah's suit: James H. Griffen, a New York merchant banker and advisor to Kazakhstan's President Nazarbayev; and Friedhelm Eronat, a businessman who often acted on behalf of Mobil overseas. The business dealings and friendships among these three men date back many years, and they have done billions of dollars worth of deals worldwide. The three might never have become the focus of grand-jury scrutiny if they hadn't fallen out with Farhat Tabbah....Dan White, a former ARCO executive, said that when, in late 1995, he arrived to open an ARCO office in the former Soviet Union a senior American diplomat in Kazakhstan told him, "The best way to get what you want is to see Giffen." One afternoon, White happened to encounter the Kazakh oil minister in a hotel lobby. They exchanged a few pleasantries, and then Balgymbayev raced off to the airport. At that moment, White recalled, "the fellow next to him says, 'I'm Jim Giffen,'" and told him, "Dan, nobody gets to Balgymbayev without coming through me." Giffen paused, White told me, and said, "You know this is a strange place here. A lot of people carry guns, and bad things happen to people." (end of excerpt, at end of page 51 of an article that continues to p. 65) The New Yorker article must be the starting point for any man seeing to expose the true authors of the crashbombing terror acts of September 11th, the Great Frame-Up.The common thread through all of these stories is "the market" - commodities, front companies, barter deals, money laundering, unrelated transactions, corruption of public officials, tax evasion.

Oil is a commodity. Natural gas is a commodity. Electricity is a commodity. Enron was an example of a front company for trading energy commodities and if you just do a little reading on the Public Utilities Holding Company Act of 1935 and the reason it was passed in 1935, plus the investigative paper trail of Enron's activities, then you will gain a conceptual understanding of the kind of corruption that "the market" entails. Unfortunately (and disastrously) for us, PUHCA was repealed in 2005 in legislation sponsored by Senator Pete Dominici of New Mexico and now the "peak oil" scamsters of the Department of Energy "partnered" with the Technocrats of the technology industry are running the electricity "market" through the implementation of the smart grid. In plain language, the commodity trading criminals have institutionalized the corruption within our state and federal governments. They masquerade as regulators while they set up the components of "the market" for fraud and extortion. Case in point, Senator Joe Lieberman was the lead on the investigation into the Enron scams. Senator Joe Lieberman was the Senate representative for Al Gore's "reinvention of government". And Senator Joe Lieberman was involved in writing the legislation to "fix" the problem of Enron's fraud - and now we have no electricity market regulators - only advisors.

When you go to the Department of Energy website, do you see anything that looks like government?

In the 2009 National Broadband Plan, a company called EnerNOC was mentioned as a "virtual power company". Enron was a "virtual power company". The way it is described, the "cycle slicing" of kilowatts by EnerNOC will be voluntary. But there is nothing that says it has to stay voluntary. The Smart Grid and Smart Meters will allow them to control electric usage - having you live under their rules and demands.

They've broken up the utility business model of generation to end user service inserting the middle man as a "virtual power company" supposedly on the idea of competition. There is no competition. The "competition" is a virtual farce. There is one product and the product doesn't vary and there is nothing that anybody can do to enhance the service beyond its purpose which is to electrify. That's it. A stream of electricity is a stream of electricity - period. No substitutes. No variability.

Multi-party bartering. Here is where the difficulty comes in for criminal investigations. Unrelated transactions are difficult - almost impossible to trace back to the source deal - especially with the assistance of computers. And adding to the difficulty, with a trading platform like...say, Pierre Omidyar's eBay with the capability of symbolic replacement and the wizard behind the curtain with the records - but not necessarily all the records, it would take years to resolve one line of inquiry on one case.

We have systemic corruption [enforce RICO laws] in the essential critical economic sector of the country - electricity - energy. The only way to deal with this kind of problem is very strict laws, severe penalties that are enforced and essentially closed borders until the "actors" in the crime wave are expunged from the system. Simply stated, if you have a cockroach problem, you don't solve the problem by killing one cockroach at a time. You have to tent the structure and fumigate - and we need it NOW.

MH 370 – A Sinister Tragedy In the Fog of Coincidence?

Some strange parallels with catastrophic consequences

While this article is published on April 1st, 2014 I hope that all concerned would not take this analysis as an April Fool’s Joke but a serious attempt to explore what are the likely scenarios beyond that which have been discussed over the last few weeks.

I have thought long and hard since the publication of my previous two articles posted to my website on the 28th and 29th March, 2014 whether to write this article. I had sleepless nights but realized that this article must be written because the issues which I am addressing deserve public attention and a response from the relevant countries whose technologies are so far superior to Malaysia’s that only they can provide adequate answers.

I leave it to you to judge whether this article is a “conspiracy theory” (an oxymoron because any unlawful act committed by two or more persons or entities constitute a conspiracy - this is Criminal Law 101) or a legitimate demand for intelligent answers, for the public is not stupid.

What puzzled me most since the “disappearance” of MH 370 is the deafening silence of the Military establishments of the United States, Thailand, Singapore (and to a lesser extent those countries who are mere observers) who prior and subsequent to the “disappearance” of MH 370 were involved up to their eyeballs in the annual military exercises “Cobra Gold” and “Cope Tiger” led by the United States beginning from 11th February and ending 21st March, 2014.

I am sure when you read the underlined words you were aroused from your usual stressed-out state of mind after a hard day’s work. I am equally sure that immediately, you could recall certain past events which I will address in due course.

But, let me first pose a few questions to the geo-political stakeholders who may stand to lose from this tragedy in more ways than one:

Given that the military exercise covers an area where there is heavy civilian air traffic, what precautions were made to avoid any mistakes such as miscommunications, misidentifications of aircrafts from those taking part in the said exercise?

What security protocols were put in place to ensure that no third parties (persons and or entities) would under the cover of the exercises mount hostile operations?

Immediately upon the announcement of the “disappearance” of MH 370 (and the subsequent 5 hours of continuous flight as advanced by the experts in the Investigation Team), were the participating countries’ military assets involved in the said military exercises deployed to search for MH 370 which was within the airspace of the designated military exercises?. If not, why not?

It was announced that Malaysia’s military personnel sought verification of their identification of an aircraft (which at the material time was not confirmed as MH 370) which was picked up by military radar. Was the verification sought from any of the participating countries’ military assets involved in the said military exercises? If so, what were their responses?

MH 370 having “disappeared” for more than three days, did the ongoing military exercises hinder the SAR mission, or did the military assets in place assisted in the SAR mission? If not, why not?

I could continue asking other technical questions that relates to military exercises that involve air and naval assets, but it would not serve the purpose of this article because the above five questions are sufficient to elicit a proper response from the relevant military stakeholders. And since this article is addressed to the public at large, it would confuse them if highly technical questions are introduced.

It is not a conspiracy theory to suggest (and since the Investigation Team has stated categorically that all scenarios would be explored) that there is a high probability that third parties may well have exploited the situation and under the cover and likely confusion, mistakes etc. of the military exercises to execute a diabolical act for a geo-political and or intelligence agenda, that the lives of 239 passengers and crew is but mere collateral damage.

Why it is not a conspiracy theory?

If your memory serves you right, then it cannot be said that the “disappearance” of MH 370 during a military exercise is a mere coincidence in relation to the 9-11 tragedy. The experts have declared that the so-called hijackers knew of the military exercise on September 11, 2001 and exploited the situation to their advantage. There is no need to revisit the 9-11 tragedy as it is not a matter for debate that there was a military exercise on September 11, 2001.

That this is the preferred Modus Operandi of the evildoers is evident from another tragedy. The blame was laid on some young Muslims boys. But no explanations were given as to how they would know that there would be a terrorist bombing exercise on that fateful day. Of course, I am referring to the horrific bombing in the London Underground on July 7th, 2005. Tell the fairies that it was just coincidence that the bombings took place in exactly the Underground Stations in which the exercise was conducted!

Tell the fairies that it was a coincidence that the leading demolition company had its van parked 50 yards from the bus that exploded in flames on Tavistock Road in London on the same day when bombs devastated several underground stations. I still have the picture of the van in my archives!

MH 370 “disappearance” took place during two major military exercises in Thailand.

NSA can track your phone calls so long as you are using your phone and as long as your phone is switched on, you can also be located. You cannot hide from the intelligence apparatus. This is from Edward Snowden.

An airplane runs on electronics. It has miles of electrical wirings that control and transmit data that enable the plane to fly. So, even if the transponder is disabled and if the plane is still flying as in the case of MH 370, then there would be electrical signals emitting from the plane.

And as long as the plane is flying, its engines will of course be running and signals would be emitted to indicate either the engines are running efficiently or there could be malfunctions, so that the pilot can take remedial actions. In the case of Rolls Royce, engines the HQ monitors all engines while in flight. Go check it out.

Yet, MH 370 “disappeared” without a trace till today. Go figure!

The military assets of the participating countries owe a duty to humanity to come forward and enlighten all of us as to what happened to MH 370.

The families of the passengers and crew of MH 370 deserves better treatment than a wall of silence from these participating countries and their military assets.

I implore the Malaysian government to demand from these countries that we will not accept silence and or some technical fairy tales to explain their failures to locate MH 370.

Let me state from the outset that I totally agree with the press statements by Malaysia’s Defence Minister and Acting Transport Minister, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein that “we have conducted ourselves fairly, responsibly and history will judge us for that.” And to a mischievous and presumptuous question from a correspondent of the Financial Times, Datuk Seri with confidence and integrity rightly said without any fear of contradiction that, “I don’t think we could have done anything different from what we have already done.

Well done!

Financial Times, CNN and other foreign media ought to pose similar questions to the US and its intelligence services and stop insinuating that Malaysia has not been transparent and or engaged in a cover-up. Foreign media should stop engaging in dirty politics!

It is my hope that following the publication of this article, Malaysian mass media will focus on questioning the integrity of the US’s assistance to Malaysia in the first three weeks of the SAR mission, notwithstanding its recent offer of more assistance.

I take comfort that my reservations about the US and its intelligence services as well as other intelligence services closely linked to the US, especially British secret service, have been more than vindicated by Reuters in its news report on 28th March, 2014 that, geopolitical games handicap hunt for flight MH370

The search for flight MH370, the Malaysian Airlines jetliner that vanished over the South China Sea on March 8, has involved more than two dozen countries and 60 aircraft and ships but has been bedevilled by regional rivalries.

With the United States playing a relatively muted role in the sort of exercise that until recently it would have dominated, experts and officials say there was no real central coordination until the search for the plane was confined to the southern Indian Ocean, when Australia largely took charge.

Part of the problem is that Asia has no NATO-style regional defence structure, though several countries have formal alliances with the United States. Commonwealth members Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand and Australia also have an arrangement with Britain to discuss defence matters in times of crisis.

As mystery deepened over the fate of the Boeing 777 and its 239 passengers and crew, most of them Chinese, it became clear that highly classified military technology might hold the key.

But the investigation became deadlocked over the reluctance of others to share sensitive data, a reticence that appeared to harden as the search area widened.

"This is turning into a spy novel," said an envoy from a Southeast Asian country, noting it was turning attention to areas and techniques few countries liked to publicly discuss.

Ultimately, the only country with the technical resources to recover the plane - or at least its black box recorder, which could lie in water several miles deep - may be the United States. Its deep-sea vehicles ultimately hauled up the wreckage of Air France 447 after its 2009 crash into a remote region of the South Atlantic.

While Putrajaya has been forced to reveal some of the limits and ranges of its air defences, the reluctance of Malaysia's neighbours to release sensitive radar data may have obstructed the investigation for days.

At an ambassadorial meeting in the ad hoc crisis centre at an airport hotel on March 16, Malaysia formally appealed to countries on the jet's  possible path for help, but in part met with polite stonewalling, two people close to the talks said.

Some countries asked Malaysia to put its request in writing, triggering a flurry of diplomatic notes and high-level contacts.

"It became a game of poker in which Malaysia handed out the cards at the table but couldn't force others to show their hand," a person from another country involved in the talks said.

Malaysian media, please read at the minimum three times, the sentences in bold and underlined AND WAKE UP TO THE REALITY that our country has been badly treated even though our country put all its national security cards on the table so that countries whose nationals are passengers on flight MH 370 could come forward with sincerity to assist in resolving this unfortunate tragedy which is not Malaysia’s making.

Malaysia is but a victim of this tragedy whose plane, MH 370 was used for a hidden agenda for which only time will reveal, God willing.

In my previous article posted to the website on the 27th March, 2014, I exposed how Zionist Israel is exploiting the tragedy to create public opinion for a war against Iran, a Muslim country that has close ties with Malaysia.

At the outset of the SAR Mission, all concerned stated categorically that every scenario, no matter how unlikely would be examined critically with no stones left unturned – terrorist hijacking, suicide mission, technical failures, inadequate security, criminal actions of the pilot and or co-pilot etc.

Given the above premise, families of the passengers and the crew of MH 370 have every right to ask the following questions of the US and other countries that have sophisticated technologies to track and monitor airplanes and ships in all circumstances.

Such questions should not be shot down by those who have a hidden agenda that such queries amount to “conspiracy theories”. Far from being conspiracy theories, we assert that the questions tabled below and the rationale for asking them are well founded and must be addressed by the relevant parties, failing which an inference ought to be drawn that they are complicit in the disappearance of MH 370.

Lets us begin.

Was the plane ordered to turn back, if so who gave the order?

Was the plane turned back manually or by remote control?

If the latter, which country or countries have the technologies to execute such an operation

Was MH 370 weaponised before its flight to Beijing?

If so, what are the likely methods for such a mission – Biological weapons, dirty bombs? Was Beijing / China the target and if so why?

The time sequence of countries identifying the alleged MH 370 debris in the Indian ocean was first made by Australia followed by France, Thailand, Japan, and Britain via Immarsat. Why did US not offer any satellite intelligence till today?

Prior to the switch of focus to the Indian ocean, was the SAR mission in the South China seas, used as a cover for the deployment of undersea equipment to track and monitor naval capabilities of all the nations’ navies competing for ownership of disputed territorial waters? Reuters as quoted above seems to have suggested such an outcome.

Till to date why was there been no focus, especially by foreign mass media, on the intelligence and surveillance capabilities of Diego Garcia, the strategic naval and air base of the US?

Why no questions were asked whether the flight path of MH 370 (if as alleged crashed in the Indian Ocean), was within the geographical parameters of the Intelligence capabilities of Diego Garcia? Why no planes were deployed from Diego Gracia to intercept the “Unidentified” plane which obviously would pose a threat to the Diego Gracia military base?

The outdated capabilities of the Hexagon satellite system deployed by the US in the 1970s has a ground resolution of 0.6 meters, what more the present and latest technologies which boast of the ability to identify objects much smaller in size. Why have such satellites not provided any images of the alleged debris in the Indian Ocean? Were they deliberately withheld?

On April 6th, 2012, the US launched a mission dubbed “NROL-25” (consisting of a spy satellite) from the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. The NROL-25 satellite was likely rigged with synthetic aperture radar a system capable of observing targets around the globe in daylight and darkness, able to penetrate clouds and identify underground structures such as military bunkers. Though the true capabilities of the satellites are not publicly known due to their top-secret classification, some analysts have claimed that the technology allows the authorities to zoom in on items as small as a human fist from hundreds of miles away. How is it that no imagery of MH370 debris was forwarded to Malaysia, as this capability is not classified though other technologies might well remain classified? (Source: Slate.com)

Could it be that the above capabilities were not as touted?

However, in December, 2013, the US Atlas V rocket was launched carrying the spy satellite NROL-39 for the National Reconnaissance Office, an intelligence agency which is often overshadowed by the notorious National Security Agency (NSA), only it scoops data via spy satellites in outer space. The "NROL-39 emblem” is represented by the Octopus a versatile, adaptive, and highly intelligent creature. Emblematically, enemies of the United States can be reached no matter where they choose to hide. The emblem boldly states "Nothing is beyond our reach". Yet, the US with such capabilities remained silent. Why?

It cannot be said that it is not within the realm of probabilities that the US may not want the plane MH 370 to be recovered if rogue intelligence operators were responsible for the disappearance of MH 370.

If the above questions have been posed to the US and other intelligence agencies and answers are not forthcoming, I take the view that the Malaysian government ought to declare publicly that our national sovereignty and security have been jeopardized by the disappearance of MH 370 and that the relevant intelligence agencies have been complicit in the disappearance of MH370.

By coming out openly to explain the predicament faced by our country, Malaysia may prevent a hostile act against a third country.

I therefore call upon Malaysian mass media to be courageous and initiate such queries as only the US and other intelligence agencies can give definitive answers to the above 15 questions.

It is futile to demand answers from Malaysia as we are not in any position to supply the information as we do not have the capabilities of the global and regional military powers.

Malaysians must unite behind the government so that our leaders need not feel that they are alone shouldering this enormous burden.

Officials from Interpol refuted a claim from Malaysia Friday in which the government said it could not check through the international police agency’s passport database because the process was too much of a burden.

As international investigators continue their search for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight that disappeared weeks ago, the Malaysian government revealed it had not checked the passports of the missing passengers with Interpol’s database, which lists stolen passports.

Interior Minister Zahid Hamidi told the Malaysian parliament Wednesday that Interpol’s vast database of lost passport records was “too large” and would be too much for Malaysia’s database management system, according to Reuters quoting the local Malay Mail Online.

“Furthermore, Interpol’s information of lost (passports) may slow down the process of immigration checks at counters,” Zahid said.

Two passengers were able to board flight MH 370 with stolen Austrian and Italian passports. The plane, which has still not been recovered, was last tracked over the South China Sea on March 8 with 239 people on board. The authorities have said they do not think the two passengers in question had anything to do with the mystery.

Interpol has taken exception to the country’s assertion. The Lyon, France-based agency said Friday that no member country has ever complained that the process is too slow, in part because it takes under a second to find out if a passport is listed as stolen.

“Malaysia’s decision not to consult INTERPOL’s Stolen and Lost Travel Documents (SLTD) database before allowing travellers to enter the country or board planes cannot be defended by falsely blaming technology or INTERPOL,” it said. “If there is any responsibility or blame for this failure, it rests solely with Malaysia’s Immigration Department.”

Frustration with Malaysia stretches far beyond the offices of Interpol, though, as a large boycott of all things Malaysian has been organized in China in response to what millions of people perceive as a flawed investigation.

Barbara Demnick of the Los Angeles Times reported on Friday that the families of the missing passengers who have gathered at Beijing’s Lido hotel since March 8 protested a Malaysia Airlines press conference rather than listen to another update. There were 227 passengers onboard the flight, 153 of them Chinese.

“I just want to say to the Chinese families – it is not just them,” Malaysian transportation minister Hishamuddin Hussein said Friday at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur. “Fourteen other nations have lost family members.”

The search for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 could take years, a senior U.S. Navy official said Sunday, as search and rescue officials raced to locate the plane’s black box recorder days before its batteries are set to die.

Ten ships and as many aircraft are searching a massive area in the Indian Ocean west of Perth, in Australia, trying to find some trace of the aircraft, which went missing more than three weeks ago and is presumed to have crashed.

The Malaysian government announced moves to tighten airport security, but the head of the U.S. senate intelligence committee said there was no evidence that terrorism had any role to play in the flight’s disappearance. “There’s speculation, but there’s nothing,” said Senator Dianne Feinstein. “This is a very difficult mission.”

Among the vessels to join the search is an Australian defence force ship, the Ocean Shield, that has been fitted with a sophisticated U.S. black box locator and an underwater drone.

Captain Mark Matthews, a U.S. navy officer who is in charge of the black box pinger detector, said the search area of 123,000 square miles needs to be significantly reduced before there is any serious prospect of finding the black box.

“Right now the search area is basically the size of the Indian Ocean, which would take an untenable amount of time to search,” he said.

Todd Curtis, an aviation expert and former Boeing engineer, warned that the hunt for the plane could last for years.

He said the black box was unlikely to be found before its 30-day pinger, which helps searchers to locate both the box and the plane, runs out of battery life in about a week.

“The likelihood of finding the plane quickly, especially given the pinger will soon end, is going down astronomically,” he told The Daily Telegraph.

“Even if they found the debris today, there is the problem of estimating where it drifted over the past three weeks and then estimating the new area. It all has the potential to take much more than two years.”

Dr Curtis said the search was likely to be “very prolonged” and may end in failure. “There is a chance they will never find the plane,” he said.

The failure to find any wreckage from the plane has been harrowing for the families of the 239 passengers, many of whom continue to cling to the hope that survivors will be found. 

Twenty-nine distraught Chinese family members flew to Malaysia yesterday, demanding that the authorities “reveal the truth” and “hand over the murderer.” At an emotive press conference they chanted: “We want the evidence, we want the truth, we want our families back.””

The DSN is the primary information transfer network for the Defense Communications System (DCS). [Serco] Building a State-of-the-Practice Data Communications Network

To create a state-of-the-practice data communications network required Serco to engineer different solutions for each of the AFSCN’s unique locations.

Each ground station around the world had to be surveyed in order to develop detailed installation plans, project support agreements and testing plans.

Furthermore, to assure communications reliability between the ground station and the operational control nodes, Serco also had to conduct a complete circuit testing exercise.

After completing the survey, Serco’s team continued with their due diligence, for developing and implementing a state-of-the-practice solution, by conducting circuit, system verification and integration, installation and checkout testing for each of the ground stations, including those located at Diego Garcia, in British Indian Ocean Territory, the Royal Air Force Base in Oakhanger, England [handed off to Airbus Astrium!] and the Anderson AFB, in Guam

Global Realities Require Local Action

March 28, 2014 - Hundreds of pilots from around the world convened this week at the 4th annual Global Pilots Symposium not just to discuss the common challenges of all airline pilots, but also to develop a plan of action and commit to executing that plan.

Their urgent, collective resolve was underscored by keynote speaker Capt. Don Marcus, international president of the International Organization of Masters, Mates & Pilots (MM&P), who retold the harrowing tale of the decimation of the U.S. maritime industry due to the flag of convenience system. During his presentation, “The Impact of Open International Competition on U.S. Maritime Labor,” Marcus relayed staggering statistics as a harbinger of what could happen to the global airline system.

Of a world fleet totaling more than 50,000 ships, the United States, as one of the world’s largest trading partners, has only a fraction of the fleet, he said.

“The flag of convenience system of open registers and global competition has had a devastating effect on U.S. national flag shipping and U.S. maritime labor,” Marcus said. “Today, the total number of ships in U.S. international trade is 7,863. Of that number, the U.S. has only 89 registered ships in international trade.”

Additionally, of the 50,000 merchant ships in the world feet, approximately 71 percent—35,000 ships—are under the FOC system, meaning they avoid the obligations normally associated with national regulation by a flag state such as national taxes and laws that protect labor and social conditions. As such, 86 percent of merchant ships operating under the FOC system are successful in avoiding collective bargaining agreements along with avoiding taxes and regulation—giving them an unfair advantage in the shipping industry.

“The lessons we have learned from the maritime experience would seem to indicate that air transport companies, if given the opportunity, shift their various operating functions, such as maintenance, flight operations, crewing, aircraft registry, etc., to the countries within the Unites States and EU with the least tax consequences, least regulatory oversight, and lowest wage costs,” Marcus warned.

Marcus’ presentation painted a vivid description of what could happen in aviation that colored the day’s discussion and deliberately focused on the challenges we face and actions required to overcome them. The day's planning sessions were kicked off by Capt. Ron Abel (United), Capt. Tony Chapman (American), and Capt. Mike Pinho (Delta), the conversation concentrated on strategic planning as a necessary tool in developing new and effective approaches for the future. Three interactive panel discussions also headlined the day:

On the heels of GPS, IFALPA kicked off its 69th Annual Conference, where more than 200 delegates continued the productive dialogue to develop solutions to tackle the world spanning challenges—despite geographical boundaries—that confront them all.

A spokesman for the 35-person group also demanded the Malaysian government apologize for "giving out confusing information," which he said caused a delay in the search and rescue effort.

Members of the group, gathered at The Holiday Villa in the city of Subang Jaya, 20 kilometres from the capital Kuala Lumpur, held banners that read, "We want evidence, truth, dignity" in Chinese, and "Hand us the murderer. Tell us the truth." A slogan in English read, " You must return relatives." 

Two-thirds of the 227 passengers aboard the plane, which disappeared en route to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur on March 8, were Chinese, and China has urged Malaysia to be more open about the investigation. One of the relatives, who gave only his surname, Xu, said they want to meet officials "at the very highest levels."

But a representative of the group said they have no desire to head to Australia just yet, although the search operation is centred there.

"I have not heard of any families wanting to head to Australia — because we, the families, based on our feelings and the actual evidence, without any direct evidence we will not want to head there," said Jiang Hui. 

"I think everyone is more rational now, more rational," he added when reporters asked what is the emotion state with the families now.

The search continued on Sunday, with 10 ships and as many aircraft combing the new search area, 1,850 kilometres west of Perth.

The batteries on the recorders allow transmission for about 30 days.

Much of the sea floor in the search area is about 2,000 metres below the surface, but depths may reach a maximum of up to 6,000 metros.

To create a state-of-the-practice data communications network required Serco to engineer different solutions for each of the AFSCN’s unique locations.

Each ground station around the world had to be surveyed in order to develop detailed installation plans, project support agreements and testing plans.

Furthermore, to assure communications reliability between the ground station and the operational control nodes, Serco also had to conduct a complete circuit testing exercise.

After completing the survey, Serco’s team continued with their due diligence, for developing and implementing a state-of-the-practice solution, by conducting circuit, system verification and integration, installation and checkout testing for each of the ground stations, including those located at Diego Garcia, in British Indian Ocean Territory, the Royal Air Force Base in Oakhanger, England and the Anderson AFB, in Guam

In developing this enhanced voice and data communications network, Serco’s team engineered and implemented an ATM backbone and secure voice system for each of the AFSCN ground stations. The installed network was based on a Wide Area Network (WAN) architecture utilizing IP based network capabilities and proprietary secure communication technologies such as KG-75s, KG-84S and KIV-7s. In addition, Serco ensured Defense Red Switch Network connectivity and operations throughout the AFSCN.”

The Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) is a dedicated telephone network which provides global secure communication services for the command and control structure of the United States Armed Forces. The network is maintained by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and is secured for communications up to the level of Top Secret SCI.

The DRSN provides multilevel secure voice and voice-conferencing capabilities to the National Command Authority (NCA, being the President and the Secretary of Defense of the United States), the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the National Military Command Center (NMCC), Combatant Commanders and their command centers, warfighters, other DoD agencies, government departments, and NATO allies. 

Department of Defense and federal government agencies can get access to the network with approval of the Joint Staff.[2] Upon approval by the Joint Staff, DISA will work with the customer and the appropriate military department to arrange the service.[3]

The Defense Red Switch Network consists of four major subsystems: the Switching Subsystem, the Transmission Subsystem, the Timing and Synchronization Subsystem, and the Network Management Subsystem. The Switching Subsystem uses both RED and BLACK switches to provide an integrated RED/BLACK service. End users are provided with a single telephone instrument with which they can access both secure and nonsecure networks. The DRSN carried around 15,000 calls per day prior to September 11, 2001. DRSN usage subsequently peaked at 45,000 calls per day and by mid-2003 was running at around 25,000 calls per day. In that period the Defense Red Switch Network was expanded to support 18 additional US Federal Homeland Defense initiatives.[4] Nowadays, this network is also called the Multilevel Secure Voice service. It's the core of the Global Secure Voice System (GSVS) during peacetime, crisis and time of conventional war, by hosting national-level conferencing and connectivity requirements and providing interoperability with both tactical and strategic communication networks.[5]”

A senior civil servant at the Ministry of Defence was on the payroll of the Sun for almost a decade, prosecutors claimed as they charged the former editor of Britain’s best-selling newspaper, Rebekah Brooks, and its chief reporter with plotting to bribe public officials.

Bettina Jordan Barber, a strategy officer at the MoD in London with responsibility for Afghanistan, allegedly passed information for stories to Rupert Murdoch’s redtop tabloid between 2004 and 2012 in return for £100,000.

The Crown Prosecution Service today revealed that charges of conspiracy to commit misconduct were being laid against Ms Brooks, the Sun’s long-standing chief reporter John Kay and Ms Barber, following a police inquiry into newspaper payments to public officials. They are said to have committed the offence during an eight-year period between January 1 2004 and January 31 2012.

The News of the World’s former editor, Andy Coulson and the News of the World’s royal editor Clive Goodman were charged separately with two counts of conspiracy to commit misconduct over an alleged plot to obtain contact details for the Royal Family.”

A warship with an aircraft black box detector was set to depart Australia on Sunday to search for the missing Malaysian jetliner, a day after ships plucked objects from the Indian Ocean to determine whether they were related to the missing plane. None were confirmed to be from the plane, leaving searchers with no sign of the jet three weeks after it disappeared.

Twenty-nine Chinese family members, seeking answers from Malaysia's government as to what happened to their loved ones, arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, said Malaysia Airlines commercial director Hugh Dunleavy. Two-thirds of the 229 passengers aboard Flight 370 were Chinese, and their relatives have expressed deep frustration with Malaysian authorities since the plane went missing.

It could take days for the Australian warship, the navy support ADV Ocean Shield, to reach the search zone, which shifted northeast Friday to an area roughly the size of Poland. The Australian Maritime Safety Authority, which oversees the search, said the ship will depart Perth on Sunday for the zone, about 1,850 kilometers (1,150 miles) to the west.

The ship will be fitted with a black box detector — the U.S. Navy's Towed Pinger Locator — and an unmanned underwater vehicle, as well as other acoustic detection equipment. Ships from China and Australia on Saturday scooped up items described only as "objects from the ocean," but none were "confirmed to be related" to Flight 370, AMSA said.

A Chinese Ilyushin IL-76 plane spotted three floating objects, China's official Xinhua News Agency said, a day after several planes and ships combing the newly targeted area, which is closer to Australia than the previous search zone, saw several other objects.

Meanwhile, a Chinese military plane scanning part of the search zone spotted several objects floating in the sea Saturday, including two bearing colours of the missing jet. The search shifted northeast Friday to a new part of the ocean that is roughly the size of Poland.

It was not immediately clear whether those objects were related to the investigation into what happened to Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, which disappeared March 8 en route from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Beijing, and officials said the second day of searching in the new area ended with no evidence found of the jet.

The three objects spotted by the Chinese plane were white, red and orange in colour, the Xinhua report said. The missing Boeing 777's exterior was red, white, blue and grey.

Investigators have been puzzled over what happened to Flight 370, with speculation ranging from equipment failure and a botched hijacking to terrorism or an act by one of the pilots.

The latter was fueled by reports that the pilot's home flight simulator had files deleted from it, but Malaysian Defense Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said checks, including one by the FBI, had turned up no new information.

"What I know is that there is nothing sinister from the simulators, but of course that will have to be confirmed by the chief of police," Hussein said. 

Search zone shifted

Newly analyzed satellite data shifted the search zone on Friday, raising expectations that searchers may be closer to getting physical evidence that the plane crashed into the Indian Ocean.

That would also help narrow the hunt for the wreckage and the plane's black boxes, which could contain clues to what caused the plane to be so far off-course.

The newly targeted zone is nearly 1,130 kilometres northeast of sites the searchers have crisscrossed for the past week. The redeployment came after analysts determined that the Boeing 777 may have been travelling faster than earlier estimates and would therefore have run out of fuel sooner.

The new search area is closer to Perth than the previous one, with a flying time of 2 1/2 hours each way, allowing for five hours of search.

AMSA said 10 planes are scheduled to join the search on Sunday. The first aircraft, a Chinese Ilyushin IL-76, left Perth air force base and the remainder would take over throughout the morning.

The Australian navy supply ship HMAS Success, which is to store wreckage, and three Chinese ships reached the search area Saturday. A further six ships should arrive in the area on Sunday, AMSA said.

All ships in the search area are being tasked to locate and identify the objects sighted by aircraft over the past two days. 

Weather in the search area is forecast to worsen Sunday with light showers and low cloud, though search operations are expected to continue, AMSA said.

Passengers relatives go to Kuala Lampur

Malaysia Airlines' commercial director, Hugh Dunleavy, said in Beijing late Saturday that around 40 to 45 Chinese relatives of passengers on the missing plane would fly to Kuala Lumpur early Sunday morning.

Steve Wang, a representative of some of the Chinese families in Beijing, said the relatives wanted to go to Malaysia to seek more answers because they have been unsatisfied by the responses provided by Malaysian government representatives who have met them in China.

"We have demanded that we meet with the prime minister and the transportation minister," said Wang Chunjiang, whose younger brother, lawyer Wang Chunyong, was on Flight 370. "We have questions that we would like to ask them in person."

If investigators can determine that the plane went down in the newly targeted search zone, recovery of its flight data and cockpit voice recorders could be complicated.

The hunt for the plane focused first on the Gulf of Thailand, along the plane's planned path. T-Force was composed of US Army and British Army units assigned to secure designated targets as well as additional targets of opportunity before they could be destroyed by retreating German forces or looters during the final stages of World War II and the period after the German surrender. Originally focusing on targets that might yield important intelligence, particularly as related to military technology, they were also tasked with seizing and interrogating Nazi German scientists and businessmen in the aftermath of VE Day. Even as Nazi resistance collapsed, it was feared that Nazi technology had been transferred to Japan and might still threaten US troops in the Pacific, but T-Force activities could also be seen as the beginning of the Cold War, which may account for the scarcity of publicly available information on T-Force activities. China to take part in Thai-US military exercise

Bangkok, Feb 6 (IANS) China will for the first time take part in the Thai-US military exercise starting this month, said Lt. Gen. Tharnchaiyant Srisuwan, also joint director of the exercise. The exercise, named Cobra Gold 2014, will cover areas in Phitsanulok, Khon Kaen, Chon Buri, Rayong and Chanthaburi provinces and will be held Feb 11-21, the Bangkok Post reported Thursday. The primary participants in the military exercise will be about 9,000 US troops and 4,000 Thai troops. Other participants include 80 troops from Singapore, 120 from Japan, 300 from South Korea, 160 from Indonesia and 120 from Malaysia.

China will send 25 troops for the military exercise.”

Eleven other countries will send observers -- Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, China, South Africa, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Russia, Pakistan and Britain.”

FRAUD UPON THE COURT; Civil Case 1:08-1600 (RMC)

Dear Mr. Moak,

This letter serves as the formal notice of my intent to file a lawsuit against ALPA in court, due to the HULL LOSSES of 5 airliners consistent with the signature of illegal modifications to U. S. registered airliners which was brought to the attention of ALPA Legal and ALPA Safety on 10 December, 2006.

Prior to my CONSTRUCTIVE DISCHARGE on 13 March, 2007 I had filed Civil Case 3:07-cv-24 FIELD MCCONNELL v. BOEING AND ALPA on 27 February, 2007. The issue in that case was ILLEGAL MODIFICATIONS to Boeing Airliners.

Boeing responded appropriately in their 3 March, 2007 announcement in London, UK that Boeing did have BOEING UNINTERRUPTIBLE AUTOPILOTS deployed.

Due to the responsible admission by Boeing, I did not serve that case as I retooled a Civil Case that was Civil Case 1:08-1600 (RMC) FIELD MCCONNELL v. ALPA Filed in September, 2008.

The Judge who dismissed this case had never heard the details of the illegal modifications and I believe she, like you, have been victims, after the fact, of a FRAUD UPON THE COURT that had the potential to make 5 HULL LOSSES not to have occurred. Those hull losses were Adam Air 574, Kenya Airways 507, Air France 447, Sukhoi Superjet 100 and now, sadly, MH370.

If you wish to resolve this matter without court action, I will expect an agreement for ALPA to meet my demand for $15,279,715(a) within thirty (30) days of receipt of this letter which will be delivered to ALPA via Certified mail with electronic tracking. I may be reached at (715) 307-8222 from 10 am to 4 pm on weekdays. If I do not hear from your ALPA, I will initiate a lawsuit.

United States Marine Field McConnell has linked Nicholas ‘Mycroft’ Soames’ global deployment of Free Flight ZigBees through the MI-3 Innholders Livery Company, to Serco director Maureen Baginski’s procurement of triphibious tags for the Red Switch Network agents allegedly hired by retired General James L. Jones to fly the Boeing 777-200 of MH 370 to the British Indian Ocean Territory of Diego Garcia on March 8, 2014.

McConnell recognizes Mycroft Warrants as writs issued by a competent but blackmailed or extorted officer, usually a judge or magistrate, who permits otherwise illegal acts (spoliation of evidence; ultra vires authorisation of kidnaps; spread bet body-bag counts; bypassing autopsies to conceal murder-for-hire and placing blackmailed pedophiles in decoy triage teams) and affords the person executing the writ protection from damages if the act is performed.

McConnell claims Serco root companies extorted then Prince of Wales (Bullingdon alumnus, later Edward VII) to issue Mycroft warrants to a telegraph-betting center in London’s Langham Hotel – an alleged pedophile honeypot used to entrap and blackmail MI-3 Innholders’ guests and now a Serco virtual war room to guide and synchronize global deployments of Zigbee kidnap and contract-hit teams. (cf. Ian Fleming’s Target Force unit – a.k.a. T-Force – a lightly armed and highly mobile unit, tasked with capturing Nazi scientific and technical military material).

McConnell claims that after the 1979-1995 Unabomb campaign, Baginski and Soames, a former personal assistant to the late chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Mark Hatfield, had the Red Switch Network reconfigured for General Jones who allegedly placed Airbus (ex EADS) in a man-in-the-middle position for the Free Flight ZigBee maneuvers of AA Flight 77 which knocked out the Pentagon U.S. Navy Command Center on 9/11 and the similar maneuvers of MH 370 on March 8, 2014 which transferred triphibious ZigBee tag technology to Serco.

Having alerted the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA) to decades of MI-3 Red Switch hacking by Baginski, Jones and Soames – a former Defence Minister under Langham habitué John Major – McConnell expects his erstwhile colleagues to honor their oaths when the Boeing 777-200 of MH 370 is finally produced.

 A Chinese military plane scanning part of a search zone the size of Poland for signs of debris from Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 spotted several objects floating in the sea on Saturday, including two bearing colours of the missing jet.
But it was not immediately clear whether the objects were related to the three-week-old investigation, and the second day of searching in the area ended with no evidence found of the jet, officials said.

The Chinese Ilyushin IL-76 spotted three floating objects, China's official Xinhua News Agency said, a day after several planes and ships combing the newly targeted area closer to Australia saw several other objects.

Relatives and friends of the passengers said they were tortured by the uncertainty over the fate of their loved ones, as they wait for hard evidence that the plane crashed.

Maybe he died within the first hour of the flight, and we don't know," Sarah Bajc, the American girlfriend of U.S. passenger Philip Wood, said in Beijing."I mean, there's absolutely no way for me to reconcile that in my heart," she said.
2 colours match plane's exterior: Chinese mediThe three objects spotted by the Chinese plane Saturday were white, red and orange in colour, the Xinhua report said. The missing Boeing 777's exterior was red, white, blue and grey.
An Australian PC3 Orion search plane also sighted objects in a different part of the search area, but the maritime safety authority did not describe those objects in greater detail.
An image captured a day earlier by a New Zealand plane showed a white rectangular object floating in the sea, but it was not clear whether it was related to the missing jet or was just sea trash.
Flight 370 disappeared March 8 while bound from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, and investigators have been puzzled over what happened aboard the plane, with speculation ranging from equipment failure and a botched hijacking to terrorism or an act by one of the pilots.
The latter was fuelled by reports that the pilot's home flight simulator had files deleted from it, but Malaysian Defense Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said checks, including one by the FBI, had turned up no new information.
"What I know is that there is nothing sinister from the simulators, but of course that will have to be confirmed by the chief of police," he said.
Newly analyzed satellite data shifted the search zone on Friday, raising expectations that searchers may be closer to getting physical evidence that the plane crashed in the Indian Ocean with 239 people aboard.
That would also help narrow the hunt for the wreckage and the plane's black boxes, which could contain clues to what caused the plane to be so far off-course.
The U.S. Navy has already sent equipment that can detect pings from the back boxes, and Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott told reporters in Sydney that the equipment would be put on an Australian naval ship soon.
"It will be taken to the most prospective search area and if there is good reason to deploy it, it will be deployed," he said, without giving a time frame. Other officials have said it could take days for the ship — the Ocean Shield — to reach the search area.
The newly targeted zone is nearly 1,130 kilometres northeast of sites the searchers have crisscrossed for the past week. The redeployment came after analysts determined that the Boeing 777 may have been travelling faster than earlier estimates and would therefore have run out of fuel sooner.

The new search area is closer to Perth than the previous one, with a flying time of 2 1/2 hours each way, allowing for five hours of search time, according to the Australian Maritime Safety Authority.
AMSA said five P-3 Orions — three from Australia and one each from Japan and New Zealand — plus a Japanese coast guard jet, the Chinese Ilyushin IL-76, and one civilian jet acting as a communications relay took part Saturday.
CBC's Saša Petricic spoke to an Australian pilot who had just returned from a flight back to the Pearce air force base north of Perth. Lt. Russell Adams said the wind was picking up and rain was starting to fall, making it difficult to spot the difference between whitecaps and pieces of debris.
Some family members in Beijing said they want to fly to Kuala Lumpur to seek more answers from the government, but an airline representative said it may have to wait a day because of a lack of hotel space this weekend because of the Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix race on Sunday.
Steve Wang, a representative of some of the Chinese families in Beijing, said about 50 relatives wanted to go to Malaysia because they were not happy with the responses given by Malaysian government representatives in China.
"Because they sent a so-called high-level group to meet us, but they have not been able to answer all our questions," he said. "It's either they are not in charge of a certain aspect of work or that it's still being investigated, or it's not convenient for them to comment."
Malaysia Airlines' commercial director, Hugh Dunleavy, said Saturday in Beijing that the airline was trying to facilitate the relatives' travel to Kuala Lumpur, but that plans had not been confirmed because of the difficulties in booking hotels this weekend.
If investigators can determine that the plane went down in the newly targeted zone — which spans about 319,000 square kilometres — recovery of its flight data and cockpit voice recorders could be complicated.
Much of the sea floor in the area is about 2,000 metres below the surface, but depths may reach a maximum of about 6,000 metres at its easternmost edge.
The hunt for the plane focused first on the Gulf of Thailand, along the plane's planned path. But when radar data showed it had veered sharply west, the search moved to the Andaman Sea, off the western coast of Malaysia, before pivoting to the southern Indian Ocean, southwest of Australia.

The Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA), is a field activity headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps, and a member of both the Defense Intelligence Agency and the United States Intelligence Community. The MCIA describes itself as: "a vital part of military intelligence 'corporate enterprise,' and functions in a collegial, effective manner with other service agencies and with the joint intelligence centers of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Unified Commands."
The Marine Corps Intelligence Activity mission is to provide intelligence services to the Marine Corps and the U.S. Intelligence Community. These services are based on expeditionary mission profiles in littoral areas. It supports the development of service doctrine, force structure, training and education, and acquisition.
MCIA determines what missions the Corps needs to carry out as well as who will need to be trained for that mission. MCIA is in partnership with the Office of Naval Intelligence and Office of Coast Guard Intelligence in the National Maritime Intelligence-Integration Office and at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Quantico, Virginia.

China to take part in Thai-US military exercise

Bangkok, Feb 6 (IANS) China will for the first time take part in the Thai-US military exercise starting this month, said Lt. Gen. Tharnchaiyant Srisuwan, also joint director of the exercise. 

The exercise, named Cobra Gold 2014, will cover areas in Phitsanulok, Khon Kaen, Chon Buri, Rayong and Chanthaburi provinces and will be held Feb 11-21, the Bangkok Post reportedThursday.

The primary participants in the military exercise will be about 9,000 US troops and 4,000 Thai troops.

Other participants include 80 troops from Singapore, 120 from Japan, 300 from South Korea, 160 from Indonesia and 120 from Malaysia.

China will send 25 troops for the military exercise.”

Eleven other countries will send observers -- Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, China, South Africa, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Russia, Pakistan and Britain.”
